Guest Speaker Bio

Anna Cheung is an Independent Non‐Executive Director of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the Board of LGT Capital Partners Group Holding Ltd. She has over 20 years of experience in private equity and financial industries. Ms. Cheung has built up extensive business strategic and operational experience through her former role as the Chief Executive of Jardine Pacific Limited from 2015 to 2020. Prior to her appointment at Jardine Pacific Limited, Ms Cheung served as a senior advisor to private equity firms, FountainVest Partners and LionRock Capital. Ms Cheung joined 3i Group Plc (“3i Group”) in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. As one of the founding partners of 3i Group’s China business, Ms Cheung led consumer and technology related investment projects and served on the board of several investment portfolio companies. 

Ms. Cheung holds a BA in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Wang Xin is active in Egon Zehnder’s Technology & Communications and Consumer practices. She draws on many years of experience in technology, telecom, consumer products, services and retail industries in China and the U.S., and possesses deep expertise in strategy development and investments. 

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Xin held the roles of General Manager and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at China Resources. During that time she also served on the boards of two listed companies in New Zealand. Before that, Xin was a McKinsey consultant and a product development manager at Obitz in Chicago. Xin launched her career at Motorola as a software engineer, developing software for the first 3G mobile phone.

Xin earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Fudan University, a Master’s of Science in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from Northwestern University. 

Danny Lee is a Senior Advisor to Blue Pool Capital where he has been a partner in charge of private equity investment globally since 2015. He has over 24 years investment experience spanning venture, growth capital, and buyout globally. Before Blue Pool, Danny was a Managing Director at Bain Capital and Vice President at Investor AB, the largest industrial holding company in the Nordic region. He started his career at Lehman Brothers in NY. 

He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, Aspen Finance Fellow and Edmund Hillary Fellow. Danny sits on the investment committee for New Zealand Elevate Venture Fund, on the board of HK Venture Capital Association, and the board of Seed Foundation, a youth development education NGO led by Alibaba Entrepreneur Fund.

Danny is an independent director at HK Chinese Women Club College and is often a guest lecturer at Columbia Business School, HK University of Science and Technology and Lingnan University. Danny has a BA in Economics from Columbia University.

Raymond Wong is the Head of Investment at HK Science and Technology Parks Corp (HKSTP), and manages the HKSTP Venture Fund and Investor Engagement. He has 25 years of experience in VC and PE investment, portfolio management, M&A as well as strategic investment across multiple sectors in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to HKSTP, Raymond was a principal in HPEF Capital Partners and participated in three consecutive Asian funds for 16 years . Prior to HPEF, Raymond held various roles at ABN AMRO Bank in proprietary capital investment, equity capital markets and corporate finance. Previously, he was a software developer at IBM Laboratory in Toronto. 

Raymond is a member of the Venture Committee, Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and a director of the Hong Kong Business Angel Network.

Raymond obtained his MBA from Columbia Business School, New York, and a BS in Engineering Science from University of Toronto.
